Kendra and I are very proud to launch SkinnyAgent.com! We decided on the name through hours of brainstorming and input from friends, family and clients. We wanted the site to be something easy to remember, fun to view and a resource for you through the real estate transaction. Our mission is to provide “The Skinny on Real Estate” to help our clients make informed decisions when buying and selling.

Chip
I have lived in the Columbia area all of my life. I attended Midlands Tech and The University of South Carolina. I have a great family that’s still in the midlands a wife of 13 years and two wonderful kids that keep me motivated. I have a background in print marketing, sales and customer service. In 1995 I switched gears and began to focus on a career with Voridian formerly known as Carolina Eastman in a more technical capacity. In 2002 I began working in Real Estate and quickly became a licensed agent after realizing that it was the most fulfilling job that I have ever worked. People have always told me that I have the “gift of gab” (I’m guessing that was a compliment). Fortunately, I get to gab about real estate every day.

Music and cycling are my two main interests other than work and family. As a novice guitar player I am known for throwing together an impromptu jam session on the deck. I am also an avid cyclist that has participated in events like the Assault on Mt. Mitchell, Bridge to Bridge and the MS 150 Tour for Cure. Get me on a bike and we can talk real estate for 50 miles.

I was fortunate to have a wonderful home life and great, supportive parents. The best thing was always being surrounded by positive people with high work ethics. At fourteen, I started my first office job at David Ward Insurance Agency. Later on, I worked at Palmetto GBA while attending The University of South Carolina. I had intentions of becoming a counselor, because I just plain love people. I would talk to a post if it would talk back. My psychology degree comes in use everyday as I work with people on the strategies and stresses of buying or selling their home. My main interest other than work, family, and friends is becoming more involved at Church.

Chip & I met at Myrtle Beach, even though we lived a mile apart in West Columbia. Over the years, we have shared a lot of fun things together! In 1999, we opened Garden Bistro (a local lunch spot) on Gervais Street where we quickly won “Best New Restaurant”, “Best Bistro” for 1999 and a Free Times Writers Choice Award in 2001. Our focus at Garden Bistro was on customer service, consistency and attention to detail. We brought those same standards to our real estate business. We are proud to be members of the Asset Realty, Inc. team. We are looking forward to helping you all with your next real estate transaction!
